Ski-Plane Training
Expand your flying ability and employability by gaining experience in a ski-plane. GFT plans to begin Ski-plane training this winter, offering the option of using the Cessna 150.
Prerequisites
Minimum Age: 17 years old
Aviation Medical: Category 3 or higher
Aviation Licence: Private Pilot Licence or higher
Course Contents and Requirements
The Ski-plane training will be conducted on the Cessna 150. Contact GFT for more details.
Dual Flight Time: 5 hrs (10 hrs advanced)
Ground School: 2 hrs
Flight Test: Not Required
Written Examinations: Not Required
Course Schedule
The Ski-plane Training Program will generally be offered from January to March, depending on snow and ice conditions. Basic Ski-plane training will take about 1 to 2 days to complete depending on weather, consistency in performance and scheduling. Candidates may enroll for the Ski-plane Training Program at any time.
